I have to admit that I love organizing my bathroom. There is something satisfying about knowing everything is put away properly. I keep all of my make up and feminine products in a certain way. I like to be sure that everything is well stocked.
I start by cleaning my entire bathroom with a disinfectant cleaner to ensure it is completely sanitary. Making sure to pay close attention to the light witches and all handles, as these are touched the most. After sweeping and mopping I begin my organizing.
I usually start with the things that everyone will use. I put in the toilet paper making sure that I have extra nicely stacked under the sink. Then I organize the items under the sink that are kept under there. I use small plastic baskets to help keep everything in order.
Next I organize the bathroom linen closet. Keeping the wash cloths and hand towels on the top shelf and the bath towels on the second. This way they are eye level and easy to find. I keep the bath mats on the bottom shelf along with some extra shampoo, conditioners and soaps. I also keep extra toothbrushes in case a guest is in need of one.
I have a locked cupboard in my bathroom that I keep any medicine or personal item in. This way I know no one is snooping where they should not be. Now the fun part. I keep all of my make up organized in categories. I have a shelf on the side of the sink to hold everything.
I putt all of my foundation and primers is designer baskets on the top. The next shelf is for all eye makeup, also in baskets. The third shelf is for all blushes and concealer. At the bottom of this cupboard are two drawers that I keep all of the items I use on my hair.
The left side holds all hair products that I have. The right side holds things like curling irons, hair straighteners, and all hair accessories. My brushes and combs also go in this drawer.
Now the medicine cabinet. I keep things that company may want to use in my medicine cabinet. Making sure to keep cotton swabs, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, and even mouth wash plentiful stocked. You never know when you might have unexpected company. Now if you have, you have your washer and dryer in your bathroom likening do, you might want to organize your laundry as well.
I like to keep the cloths I need to wash I a three compartment hamper. Whites, darks and colors. Keeping the laundry soap above the washer on a shelf makes it handy. My dryer sheets are also on the shelf so will not forget to use them.
I like to change the colors of my baskets that I use to organize. This is an easy and effective way to change the look in my bathroom. I like to match the baskets to my rugs.
